Utility Infrastructure

Power

• Power is provided to WFC from First Energy via a 138 kV substation. This substation is regularly maintained and is protected by a large 16 ft tall fence.

• The sources of power at the site borders are:
  • 138 kV transmission feed
  • 132 kV transmission feed
  • 25 kV distribution feed
  • 12.5 kV distribution feed

• FGC has inventory of transformers available on site for use or sale (1 kVA – 900+ MVA)

Water

Public Water:

• Public potable water is provided by the City of Weirton
• 12” plastic line at property border
• Total system capacity of 8,000,000 GPD
• Excess system capacity of 4,400,000 GPD

Private Water:

• River water access for high volume raw water source
• Over 50,000,000 GPD capacity available

Sanitary/Wastewater

Public:

• Public sanitary/wastewater treatment provided by the City of Weirton
• 14 – 30” plastic and ductile iron lines at property border
• Total system capacity of 8,000,000 GPD
• Excess system capacity of 4,600,000 GPD

Natural Gas

• Distribution Gas (Mountaineer Gas, LDC)
  • There is a 12″ steel gas main line and dedicated meter and regulating set for the development of Weirton Frontier Crossings. This system has a capacity of 2,000+ MCF/hr and has a 210 psig maximum allowable pressure. 
  • There is also an 8″ steel medium pressure system adjacent to another part of the site.  

• Transmission Gas (TC Energy)
  • Two transmission gas supplies at site both provided by TC Energy.
  • The first is a 210 psig MAOP system  (12″ steel) and the second is a 175 psig MAOP system (10″ steel). The line is 12″ in size. 
  • This system has a capacity of over 2,000 MCF/hr and borders the entire developable site.

Natural Gas

• Transmission Nitrogen (Messer Gas)
  • A transmission grade nitrogen system borders the entire property
  • This system operates at 400 psig MAOP and has significant capacity available. This is a 12″ steel transmission line.
  • An existing Meter and Regulating set is on site

• Transmission Oxygen (Messer Gas)
  • A transmission grade high purity oxygen system borders the entire property
  • This system operates at 400 psig MAOP and has significant capacity available. This is a 16″ steel transmission line.
  • An existing Meter and Regulating set is on site

• Hydrogen (Private Industry)
  • Steam methane reformer on site which produces hydrogen for industry
  • 600,000+ scf/day available

Fiber Optic/Telecomm

• Above ground and buried fiber optic available at site
• 2+ GB/s speeds in area
• Comcast, Horizon, Verizon, T-Mobile all available at site
• Redundant loops can be provided for manfacturers
• Dark fiber options available
